I love playing with color. For the necklace, I wish it was easier to photograph translucent glass, but this was a hit when I brought it to work.

I spent some time this afternoon making inventory for upcoming shows. Clockwise from the top: red glass with flowers and cats, dyed mother of pearl with onyx, glass cats, black cats, and ying-yang with onyx. Yes, I buy lots of feline beads!

Jewelry setup at Raspberry Junction. I sent away for my bracelet and earring displays, purchased my ring display locally, and built my own necklace display. It’s in a three tier glass jewelry case, and I chose the top tier since it’s the first thing you’ll see when you walk up to it, and it had a good height for my displays. I can’t wait until we open! I love making jewelry - one of these necklaces has a handmade Fimo pendant, and I chose the beads to match the colors I swirled onto the pendant.

I have tons of fun at craft shows creating custom bracelets. I originally intended these for little girls - with brightly colored beads, and letters to spell their names. But it’s evolved. People come to me and ask for sports teams - being in Connecticut, we get lots of Yankees and Red Sox fans, and we’re vocal about our teams! Of course, there’s also UConn. At one show, a woman ordered one for her mother - so I guess they’re for all ages.

These double-drilled glass beads work well with memory wire - just slip them onto your wrist and they stay comfortably.

I call this my “candy” bracelet, because the glass beads used here look good enough to eat! I can never keep enough of them on the table when I go to craft fairs - I’ve had people fight over them. Please, ladies, I can make you another!
